On behalf of the 2010 Board of Directors, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the 2010 Windsor Baseball season.  As always, thanks are given to the many volunteers who step up to the plate to make our program work: managers, coaches, team parents, umpires and many others who work behind the scenes. 

We are entering our third year of affiliation with the Babe Ruth League featuring Babe Ruth (13-15) and the Cal Ripken (7-12) divisions. Noticeable changes in 2009: elimination of the TBall level (merged into Rookie (coach pitch), base path distance increased to 55' in Minor AAA with regular baseball rules allowed (stealing, bunting..).  Players at this level will now be better prepared to play in our Majors level where the basepath is set at 70'.

We are also excited to begin our second year offering our Travel Ball program featuring some of the best players our league has to offer. Though many of the teams we faced play year round, our boys showed great promise and determination in their respective tournaments. Kudos to all the players.

When we begin meeting months before the season starts, we know our goal is to provide the children in our league the opportunity for success, to learn about teamwork, respect, self-discipline and good sportsmanship while teaching baseball concepts and an appreciation for the game.  The bottom line, though, is "did they have fun?" We hope our program will provide the answer! YES!

The outstanding volunteer efforts of parents and friends of Windsor Baseball enable our children to be taught the rewards of teamwork, respect, and self-discipline. We ask you to step up and help deliver on the goal of providing a positive and rewarding players experience by volunteering your time. 

Please feel free to speak to any Board member, at any time, about anything.  Issues or comments can be rapidly addressed with open communications.  As well, keep an open line of communication with your child's manager/coach.  Let's continue providing a terrific, positive environment at the ballpark to help our kids learn and grow.

Again, I welcome you to the 2010 season.  Let's PLAY BALL!!!
